Making, building and fixing

Telecom and field service.

Where it usually hurts first

We go back to the same site twice for the same fault.

Where we would start: Diagnosis before dispatch. Predicts the likely fault and parts from the asset's history, the request and photos, so the first visit fixes it.

Every request is captured once, with the asset and its history attached.

An example, never a client's result

Safe to say yes, in writing.

  1. “I'll pay and nothing will work.”
It has to pass on your old work before it touches today's.
  2. “The price will creep.”
One fixed price, in writing, before any work.
  3. “I'll be locked in.”
Stop any month and keep everything.

Your week, as it runs today.

Field service firms, from telecom tower and network contractors to equipment, cooling and security service companies, earn per visit, per contract or under annual maintenance contracts with uptime targets. Profit depends on fixing it on the first visit and keeping technicians on jobs instead of on the road: the average firm fixes about three in four jobs first time, and each failed first visit takes about 1.6 more (Aberdeen Group, cited by OptimoRoute). The work is requests, scheduling, parts, visits, reports and service levels.

  1. 01

Requests come in by phone, mail and WhatsApp, and two of them are logged twice.

  2. 02

A technician reaches the site without the right part.

  3. 03

Visit reports are photos and handwriting, typed up on Friday.

  4. 04

A customer's service level penalty lands on the invoice.

  5. 05

A new technician calls a senior one ten times a day.

What it costs.

A study, 2013

We go back to the same site twice for the same fault.

And the rest of the week

  1. Our own sum

Requests come in from everywhere, and some of them get lost.

Two coordinators spending half their day logging and chasing requests is a full salary, about Rs 3.6 lakh a year.

  2. A study, 2024

We can't bill until the visit report is in.

Delayed payments owed to Indian MSMEs stood at an inflation-adjusted Rs 7.34 lakh crore in March 2024 (GAME, FISME and C2FO, reported in November 2025).

  3. A study, 2018

Our senior technicians carry everything in their heads.

Workers say 42% of the knowledge their role needs is unique to them, and they lose 5.3 hours a week waiting for a colleague's knowledge or recreating it (Panopto, 2018, 1,000 US workers).

  4. Our own sum

New technicians take months to fix things on their own.

A new technician who needs a second visit on one job in four adds about 250 visits a year, about Rs 2.5 lakh at Rs 1,000 a visit.

  5. Our own sum

Customers call after hours, and the on-call phone rings out.

Three emergency calls a week that ring out, at Rs 5,000 of work each, is about Rs 7.8 lakh a year going to whoever answers.

What we would build

Ten systems for field service, under the six offers.

We plan the whole company, then build the first three. The usual first build here is marked, and the window beside the cards shows the one you are reading.

Diagnosis before dispatch, the usual first build here. Shown with sample data.

Get the work doneEverything comes to you. Most of it shouldn't.

  1. The usual first buildIntelligence

    Diagnosis before dispatch

Predicts the likely fault and parts from the asset's history, the request and photos, so the first visit fixes it.

  2. Documents

Visit reports from voice and photos

The technician talks and takes photos, and the report writes itself, checks for missing fields and gets the customer's sign-off.

  3. Operations

    Dispatch board

Jobs assigned by skill, location, parts and service level, with the day's routes planned.

  4. Apps

    Technician app

Jobs, history, checklists, parts and reports in one app that works with a weak signal.

  5. Growth

    Maintenance contract renewals

Tracks every annual maintenance contract, drafts renewal quotes and suggests upgrades from each site's history.

  6. Intelligence

    Service level watch

Watches every open job against its service level and moves the ones at risk up the queue.

Win customersLeads wait until Monday. The buyer doesn't.

  1. Conversations

    Request desk

Takes every request by phone, mail, WhatsApp and web, finds the asset and contract, asks for photos and opens the job.

  2. Voice

    Night line

Answers after-hours calls, sorts emergencies from routine jobs and wakes the on-call engineer only when it matters.

Know your companyOnly one person knows how pricing works.

  1. Knowledge

Ask the manual with a photo

Technicians send a photo or ask a question and get the right manual page and past fixes for that model.

  1. Trust

    Proof of every visit

Time, location, photos and the customer's sign-off kept for every visit, ready for any dispute over service levels.

The same week, with them running.

The five moments from the top of this page, once the first systems do their part. Flip back to see how it runs today.

An example week. It shows how the work changes, never a measured result from a client.

  1. 01

Every request is captured once, with the asset and its history attached.

  2. 02

The job is diagnosed before dispatch, and the van carries the likely parts.

  3. 03

Reports write themselves from voice notes and photos and check for missing fields before they go.

  4. 04

Service level clocks are watched, and jobs at risk move up before they breach.

  5. 05

The new technician asks the manuals and past jobs with a photo and gets the fix.

Signs it is time.

  • Technicians go back to the same site for the same fault.
  • Visit reports arrive on paper or as WhatsApp photos.
  • Service level penalties show up on invoices.
  • Technicians are hard to hire and slow to train.
  • Maintenance contract renewals get missed.

Who decides.

The owner or head of service operations; at a telecom contractor, the head of projects or operations and maintenance.

Why this time is different.

AI that was bought and changed nothing.

A tool was bought and nobody owned the job. We take the whole job, test it on your past work, and stay to run it.

What service heads ask first.

Does it dispatch technicians?

No. It suggests, with every constraint visible, and your dispatcher decides. Anything about network safety or working at height stays with your qualified people.

Our technicians won't fill in another form.

They don't. They keep sending photos and notes the way they do today, and the agent drafts the report from those. The supervisor checks it.

Can it promise a visit time to a customer?

It drafts a window from your rules and your schedule. Your desk reads it before the customer does. The agent never promises what you haven't.

Who says yes before anything goes out?

The person who owns that job at your company today. You name them when we write the rules with you. Inside those rules the agent acts at once. Anything outside them waits for one tap from the person named, on their phone, ready to approve or to change.

Do we have to change the software we use?

No. We build around the systems you already run, in accounts in your company's name, and we confirm each one before we start.

What does it cost?

There is no price on this page, because it depends on the work. After the session you get a written proposal with the scope, the test it has to pass, who works on it and one fixed price, before any work.

Where we would start for field service: Get the work done

Everything comes to you. Most of it shouldn't.

Routine decisions follow your rules. What still needs you arrives on your phone as one tap, with the facts attached.

What changes. Nothing is typed twice, nobody asks where a job is, and routine decisions follow your rules.

What we measure, before and after. Orders typed by hand in a day, decisions reaching the owner in a week and hours spent chasing.

The old way keeps running until the new one has passed on your own work.

What costs your service business most? Bring us that.

45 minutes on a video call with our founder and the people who live with the problem. Nothing to sign. You leave knowing what we would build first, and why.
